my first pet fish
I remember my first venture into the world of Tropical Fish. It was the 4th of July and I was at a little community festival and they had a little game where if you could get a ball in a glass jar you’d win a goldfish. I remember that they also had a game where you could win a pet bunny but I wasn’t allowed to play that game. But anyway, I used my allowance and played enough so that I won three goldfish, so then we had to go to the store and get a little fish bowl and little fish food. My goldfish didn’t live very long but once they died I got myself a full size tank and I was hooked.
